resurgence of popularity for this unique art.
People have been using floorcloths in their homes since the 1400's.
Originally it was least expensive way to decorate floors. Today
we find a growing interest in this age-old craft as people look
to the past as a way to grow into the future.
Hand-painted floorcloths lend an original touch to any room as the canvas is the floor and personality can be written on it
Learn how to create a canvas floorcloth using modern materials
and time-tested application techniques to render hand-painted floorcloths.
Glazing, stenciling, and freehand trompe l’oeil methods will
be utilized. This course will also focus on design, lay-out and
finishing techniques.
